About Me

Lauren Farrell, clinical psychologist

I am a registered Senior Clinical Psychologist and member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists. I grew up in rural South Canterbury and have more recently returned to my roots to raise my family.

I earned my Master’s degree from Canterbury University, where my dissertation focused on emotional literacy in female offenders. I further advanced my education with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Massey University, researching cognitive aging.

With experience in both acute and community adult mental health, I have collaborated with a diverse team to provide psychological assessment and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Currently, I support individuals facing ongoing challenges related to their physical and mental health due to injury and trauma, while also maintaining a private practice one day a week. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where clients can explore their struggles, find clarity and learn lifelong skills to support personal growth.
